'Rock Bottom' finds love of music at its base

Bottom' will perform at Average Joe's. Members of the band include
Brad Solheim ('02), lead guitar, vocals; John Henderson ('02),
rhythm guitar, vocals; Michael McGregor ('02), percussion; Alissa
Wendelschafer ('04), piano, vocals; Galen Miller ('03), bass,
vocals.

and alternative. "It's just rock 'n' roll, man," commented
Henderson. The band's musical influences include 'The Beatles,' Bob
Marley, 'Pearl Jam,' Jimi Hendrix and the 'Counting Crows.'

Bond In Investing Stock The two original and constant members of 'Rock Bottom' are
Solheim and Henderson, who have been playing together since they
were sophomores in high school. They pick up other members every
year depending on where they are and who wants to commit to the
band. During the summers, 'Rock Bottom' consists of different
members than it does when Solheim and Henderson are at Luther.

Municipal Bonds Investment Henderson said of Solheim and himself, "We've been committed and
are looking for others who want to create good music and stick
around." He also commented on the hardship of keeping a band
together when the members are all from different places.

Bond Terms Trading 'Rock Bottom' will be performing at Trout Fry this year and has
plans to have some studio time this summer to record a CD. "We'll
probably get a record deal by fall," Solheim said jokingly, but
with confidence.
Bond Debt High In Inside However, that would be a dream come true for these two, who love
making music. "Music will always be a part of my life," said
Solheim. Henderson agreed and added, "I'd rather be poor and play
guitar than be rich and hate my job."
Bond Greenville Greenville Solheim and Henderson practice together approximately every
other day and the band practices collectively about once a week in
the Sperati room in Jenson. The members of 'Rock Bottom' are very
appreciative of the college allowing them and other Luther bands to
practice there. Luther also allows the band to use college-owned
instruments and equipment.
Trading Stock And Bonds Though the band is very committed to making music and performing
this year, the members have busy schedules. Solheim plays on the
Luther baseball team, while Henderson is the head soccer coach at
Decorah High School in the spring. In addition, McGregor is on the
SAC executive board and also lends his talents to another Luther
band, 'Boy with Stick.'
Bond Investing Municipal The members all lead very active lives but always come back to
their music. "Music is what we love to do," said McGregor. The
Luther community seems to love it, too.
Basis Bond Finance Hill Solheim and Henderson believe their band, as well as the other
Luther bands, are an important part of the community. "Live music
in general is coming back," said Henderson, who continued, "There
is so much talent at Luther and the students show great support for
all these bands."
