Sean Connery Back As Bond
Bond In Investing Savings Last month it was reported that famed actor Sean Connery might be voicing James Bond in EAs upcoming James Bond 007: From Russia With Love, and while that EA and Connery did have talks, there was no confirmation.
Today, we can report that it has been confirmed that Connery will be voicing James Bond in the game and that his likeness will appear in the game.
"As an artist, I see this as another way to explore the creative process. Video games are an extremely popular form of entertainment today, and I am looking forward to seeing how it all fits together," Connery told Reuters.
In addition to Connery's likenesses, these characters likenesses will be in From Russia With Love: Q (Desmond Llewelyn), Donald "Red" Grant (Robert Shaw), Rosa Klebb (Lotte Lenya), Tatiana Romanova (Daniela Bianchi), Kerim Bay (Pedro Armendariz) and Moneypenny (Lois Maxwell).
"The combination of Sean Connery, the Bond universe and 'From Russia With Love' is about the best mix you can have in a Bond game without a new feature film. Connery set the standard for James Bond and is most people's favorite Bond. This game should have both a retro and [a]contemporary appeal to a large audience," said Arcadia Research analyst John Taylor.
James Bond 007: From Russia With Love is set to release this fall for the GameCube, PS2, and Xbox. The next Bond film, Casino Royale is set for a 2006 release.
The mission, slip into the role of the Sean Connery's original 007 (for the first time in a video game) creation of the classic Bond world.
