Welcome To Fish Stock 2005

Welcome to New Smyrna Beach and the third annual FishStock Total Saltwater Experience!

This Memorial Day weekend, May 28 and 29, we return to this colorful and historic beachside community in south Volusia county to host the unique fishing event that FishStock has become.

Each year, we add something new to keep the event fresh and appealing to participating families and guests, and FishStock '05 will be no exception.

Together with the industry's major manufacturers and the area's local sponsors, we will expand on our exhibits and offerings at Riverside Park, New Smyrna's relaxed, waterfront festival site.

We look to increase last year's field of 189 tournament boat entrants and the winning purse for both the New Smyrna Beach/Daytona Beach Striking Fish tournament, now in its 29th successful year, and the third annual Redfish-Trout Challenge, created exclusively for the area's inshore anglers.

As in 2004, the luckiest and most skillful tournament anglers will have a chance to win more great prizes: electronics, tackle, sunglasses, lures, trophies and, of course, a lot of cash! Boston Whaler and many other manufacturers will supply boats, motors and trailers and fishing gear as the coveted grand prizes.

We'll have events for all ages and skill levels as our kidstock activities will feature the Hook the Future kids fishing clinic. Hook the Future is an exciting new television series geared to help today's fast-paced kids and parents. In his clinics, Capt. Don teaches kids the tricks of angling in their local fisheries. He captures the pure joy and excitement that fishing brings.
