Bond In Investing Savings The proposed $5.5 million open space bond referendum was delayed once again after a vote to reintroduce the measure was tabled Wednesday by the Warren County freeholders.

Bond Terms Trading The bond measure was delayed in part because the newest freeholder, Rick Gardner, said he wanted to tour all of the properties listed for preservation. The freeholders will also hear a presentation from the Morris Canal Committee at their April 16 workshop meeting. The board agreed that the bond ordinance will likely be reintroduced in April.

Bond Debt High In Inside Shandor, a longtime land preservation advocate, said he thinks the freeholders are giving him and the recreation commissioners the runaround.

There used to be nothing between Clinton and Phillipsburg. What else do we have to leave for future generations? We need to buy, buy, buy before it's gone."
